I remember when it was rule of thumb to always carry a dollar with you in case you ran out of gas. heh, a dollar won't get you out of the station now
between my school and work I burn through a tank a week.
That means I spend $2086 a year on gasoline just to survive.
How much did I spend on taxes?...

Yeah, I remember seeing it for 69 cents per gallon at it's lowest. It was great since I was a poor college student and had little money. Maybe one day it will get back to that. Then again I doubt it. If people are still driving gas guzzling hummers even though it's so high right now.

I started driving around 98-99 and I remember gas being between the 80s and 90s. I selected the 90s because it tended to stay in that range. I remember when you knew that if the price of regular was 92 cents then unleaded plus would be 1.02 and Premium would be 1.12. Now you can't even tell because some stations are going up 12 to 16 cents between each grade.
I remember when I was young my parents would give me 10 bucks every 2 weeks to fill up the car. I would use about 8 of it since I would be at a quarter tank. I would take a dollar and go to Sonic and then give my parents back a dollar. Now it's coming close to $50 bucks for me to fill up my car and it just keeps getting worst.

It's crazy how things have gotten. I didn't even think it would get this bad this quick. I hope it goes down soon.
